Consider the number of equations, dimensions, and calculations you must know in order to safely do your job when you pit the rookie vs. the veteran in this week's firefighting drill. Veteran firefighters should be able to put the theory into practice for each question and relate why and how each number is important to the rookie. Rookies must know each of these factual numbers as part of their pursuit of certification and basic job knowledge. Make sure you review department procedures and manufacturer information as part of this drill series.
