LA Volunteer Firefighter Killed En Route to EMS Call

A young volunteer firefighter with the Jackson Parish (LA) Ward Four Fire Protection District on his way to an EMS call was killed Saturday when he crashed the department brush truck he was driving. Firefighter Christopher Peterson, 22, was extricated from the crashed vehicle by fellow firefighters. He was subsequently pronounced dead at an area hospital.
