
Manhasset-Lakeville (NY) firefighters rescued a teen from a crashed vehicle that had caught on fire after crashing into a tree.
The incident occurred late Wednesday evening on October 5 in a hamlet on Long Island, New York. The 19-year-old victim veered off the road and struck a tree. One fire officials told a reported from theislandnow.com that he had seen worse vehicle crashes, but never without a fatality.
The victim suffered multiple broken bones, including legs, ribs, and pelvis, and a punctured lung. First-arriving firefighters used extinguishers and water ported from a home in the vicinity of the crash to protect the victim until additional help arrived.
