5.11 Tactical presents donation to FDNY Foundation

Fire Department of New York Commissioner and Chief of Department Salvatore J. Cassano and FDNY’s Emergency Medical Service Command Chief Abdo Nahmod will receive a donation from 5.11 Tactical to the FDNY Foundations on Tuesday, January 24 at 2:00pm at the Fire Department of NewYork, 9 MetroTech Center in Brooklyn.

As part of the 10th anniversary commemorating the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, 5.11 Tactical honored Public Safety Officers involved in the incidents by creating a special line of tactical clothing. The profits from sales of the logoed tactical products will be presented to the FDNY Foundation for fire service and EMS operations and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. “We are so grateful to the men and women who put their lives on the line for us on 9/11 and every day. This is one way for us to show public safety officers across the country that we will not forget their sacrifices,”explains Dan Costa, former CEO of 5.11 Tactical.

5.11 Tactical created a unique anniversary logo that honors the heroes of September 11, 2001.
The emblem features the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and flight number 93 whose brave passengers prevented it from being used as a third weapon. This logo was embroidered on
a special line of apparel created specifically for this project.

Dan Costa, founder of 5.11 Tactical will present a check for over $63,000, to
the FDNY foundation. The tactical clothing and accessory company introduced this line as a way to
raise money for these funds and honor those who serve.
