A married couple found dead in their torched home in the upscale Scottsdale, Arizona, community of Paradise Valley is being investigated as an arson-homicide after the bodies were found tied to a bedpost in the house's master bedroom.

No motive has been determined, and there are no suspects. The bodies were found Monday after police arrived at the burning home.

Although the bodies have yet to be officially identified, the family of Lawrence and Glenna Shapiro, the owners of the home, has posted messages on a Web site in their memory and a statement thanking the public for their sympathy and asking for privacy.

Paradise Valley police are waiting for the medical examiner's office to identify the victims before releasing their names. They are working with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; and the Secret Service on the case.
