Fire inspectors are investigating the failure of fire alarms in a College Park assisted living facility during a Saturday fire.
Prince George’s County police spotted the fire in a sixth-floor apartment at Spellman House Apartments, an assisted living facility for senior citizens on Berwyn House Road. Police notified dispatch and entered the building to alert residents before firefighters arrived to extinguish the fire.
