Boston (MA) firefighters battled a three-alarm fire at a triple-decker in Dorchester Monday morning that sent a 13-year-old boy to the hospital suffering from burns. Other residents managed to safely escape the fire.

A firefighter was transported to the hospital with facial injuries, according to an NECN report (http://bit.ly/w7wcFq).

Another report from the local FOX affiliate (http://bit.ly/wcA0UW) indicates that another firefighter was also transported with chest pain, but that both firefighter injuries were considered minor. Eighty firefighters responded to the scene. Flaming debris reportedly from the structure struck a nearby vehicle, which caught fire.

The damage is estimated to be about a half-million dollars. Four adults and five children were displaced by the fire.
