Detroit Paramedic Says He's Being Punished for Giving Cold Man a Blanket

10/12/2012
A Detroit (MI) paramedic is being brought up on EMS departmental charges for giving a cold man a blanket after a fire call, according to a news report. The local FOX affiliate reports (http://bit.ly/RnpiVN) that Jeff Gaglio has been punished because he didn't have permission to hand out "department property." The report, however, contends the blanket that Gaglio gave to an old, crippled citizen was one that had been donated to the department to help people in need. The blankets were  reportedly donated by Matt Cahillane, president of Firefighter Support Services. Read more about this at http://bit.ly/RnpiVN.
