NJ Bus Collision Injures 17

A commuter bus collided with a mini-school bus today in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Seventeen people were injured, two of them critically.

An Associated Press report via USA Today indicates (http://usat.ly/UD9dth) that the New York City-bound bus struck the school bus from behind, knocking it on its side. The commuter bus then slammed into a tree, which caved in the front of the commuter bus, shattering its windshield and pinning the driver's legs.

There were no students on the school bus when the incident occurred. The driver of the 24-passenger school bus and an aide were able to escape out a roof hatch.
