
Firefighters rescued two people from a burning home Wednesday morning in Dalton, Georgia.
The victims were treated at the scene and then flown to a burn center in Augusta, according to a report on chattanoogan.com (http://bit.ly/WaUCWH).
Firefighters were dispatched at 12:03 a.m. to a structure fire. The engine company found an unconscious male victim in the front bedroom in cardiac arrest, and removed him from the home. At the same time, truck company members found a female victim on the floor in the back bedroom who was not breathing, and removed her. Firefighters treated the victims until EMS arrived on scene.
The condition of the victims is not known as of this writing.
Dalton Fire Department Chief Bruce Satterfield said that there were no working smoke detectors in the home.
