The first-arriving company found heavy fire going throughout a single-story dwelling.
The family was home at the time of the fire, but escaped. (UPDATE/CORRECTION: 4:33 p.m. Eastern): The father suffered second- and third-degree burns in the fire and was transported to Troy Beaumont Hospital and then later transferred to University of Michigan Hospital to be treated for his injuries. His current condition is unknown.
The house suffered severe damage from the fire.
