Fire News: Woman Dies in West Chicago Fire

Friends and family at the scene confirmed that a 41-year-old woman died after a fire consumed a West Chicago (IL) home, reports the Chicago Tribune. Firefighters were on the scene for several hours. West Chicago Fire Chief Bob Hodge said the cause remained under investigation, although it appeared accidental. The damage was extensive, he said, but was confined to one room and believed that the house would be salvageable. He expected more details would be released on Monday.
