The city of Seattle's (WA) Common Operating Picture (COP) solution received an award for the Most Notable Municipal/County Security Program at the annual Government Security News Awards ceremonies. Seattle's entry featured a new Enhanced Common Operating Picture platform that provides situational awareness for five different city departments (the Seattle Police Department, Fire Department, Public Utilities, City Light, and Seattle Department of Transportation) providing a system that allows them to act as a single unit during day-to-day and large scale emergencies.
