Firefighter LODD: AL Volunteer Firefighter, 71, Dies After Fire Response

A 71-year-old volunteer firefighter died after responding early Tuesday morning to a structure fire in Greene County, Alabama. Springfield Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Stanley Martin, Jr. complained of shortness of breath after the fire was extinguished, according to a WBRC news report ( Martin served as an apparatus operator.
