Cal Poly Fire Protection Engineering Grads Include Senior-level Career Professionals

In June, Cal Poly conferred 16 master's degrees in fire protection engineering (FPE), making this the largest graduating class since the program was established in 2010. Unlike most graduations for bachelor's and master's candidates, however, the FPE degree recipients included professionals in senior-level and leadership positions. Joshua Elvove, for instance, has 35 years of fire protection and life safety experience with the federal government and the private sector, and is the current president of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers.
