Firefighting News: Fire Breaks Out at NH Police Station Shooting Range

A two-alarm fire broke out at a police station shooting range Tuesday night in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The fire, which occurred in the basement range, was kept in check by a sprinkler system, according to a report on seacoastonline.com. (http://bit.ly/1eb0mrO). Firefighters from neighboring areas assisted with station coverage and mutual aid. Authorities were unsure whether anyone was using the shooting range when the fire started. The presence of rubber in the firing range was responsible for much of the thick, black smoke that filled the building during the fire, according to Deputy Fire Chief Carl Roediger.
