A man and woman were charged with arson in the fire, according to a report from The Chicago Tribune (http://trib.in/15dgjc0), with the man remaining hospitalized after being injured in the incident.
Firefighters were battling the fire in the attic of the two-story brick structure when the roof collapsed, prompting a Mayday to be issued. All firefighters were accounted for afterward.
According to a police report, the fire was started when a can full of debris was doused in lighter fluid, set ablaze, then moved beside the building.
