Firefighter Dies Working at California Wildfire

A firefighter died over the weekend while operating at a wildfire burning in California.

White City Firefighter Oscar Montano-Garcia, 55, died Sunday afternoon while working on the Nabob Fire in Siskiyou County, according to KRDV (http://bit.ly/1ck4LcQ). He reportedly died from a heart attack; the death is under further investigation.

Siskiyou County is located in the nothernmost part of Californa along the Oregon border.

The death of Firefighter Montano-Garcia is the latest in a deadly fire season for the United States, which has seen a number of fatalities at fires in Oregon and other locations, notably the deaths of 19 firefighters battling the Yarnell Hill Fire in Arizona.
