Timely assistance from a neighboring fire department enabled the Allen Park (MI) Fire Department to continue providing service despite the fact that its equipment was out of the service.
The situation unfolded last week when all the department's ambulances were knocked out of service with various mechanical problems, according to the Press & Guide (http://bit.ly/1dPeZUd).
After calling a number of nearby departments, Allen Park firefighters were able to enlist the help of the Dearborn Heights Fire Department.
