SafetyPAD, INDMEX Offer Integrated Airport EMS Enterprise System

OPEN Incorporated, makers of the SafetyPAD® suite of technology products for Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and INDMEX Aviation, a global provider of airport and surveillance solutions for Airport Authorities and Air Navigation Service Providers, announced today their strategic partnership.

The partnership will provide a totally integrated EMS incident response system that includes several capabilities: complete airport situational awareness, runway incursion warnings and records management enterprise system for airport first responders.

"SafetyPAD is already utilized by Fire and EMS teams at some of the busiest airports in the world," said Scott Streicher, Director of Operations for SafetyPAD.  "After speaking with airport operations directors and airport emergency responders, it was clear to us that there is an unmet need for solutions that solve ongoing challenges at airports resulting from increased operations by both aircraft and vehicles on the airport surface. With the INDMEX partnership, we will be able to fulfill that demand."

The combined SafetyPAD-INDMEX offering will improve safety in the aircraft movement area, as well as increase efficiency, security and accountability for airport personnel through the use of the eSQUIDER™ Vehicle and Personnel Tracking System.

"INDMEX Aviation offers a unique solution that provides customers with real-time operational and situational awareness, combined with runway incursion warnings on a wide range of hardware platforms, including mobile devices," said Carlos Nevarez, founder of INDMEX Aviation. "These solutions integrate seamlessly with air traffic control ground surveillance systems giving airports a cost effective means to improve safety for their passengers and airport staff. By aligning with SafetyPAD, we can give air traffic controllers and airport operations personnel a complete picture of what is happening wherever and whenever it occurs on and off the airfield. It's a critical gap in current systems that we’re proud to fill."

Agencies seeking to purchase the integrated system may be eligible for funding through the Airport Improvement Program or the Passenger Facility Charge Program under FAA AC 150/5210-25.
