Firefighting News: Kentucky Community Rallies Around Injured Firefighter

A southern Kentucky firefighter continues to fight to survive after risking his life to save the lives of others, and now his community is coming together to raise money for his cause, reports WKYT. Lieutenant Arlie Hill suffered burns to 90 percent of his body when he ran into a burning home trying to save lives. A prayer vigil was held Saturday night at the Whitley County Fire Department. The outpouring of support certainly didn't stop at the vigil, there was also a silent auction, car wash and 105 mile bike ride. Hill remains in critical condition at a Cincinnati hospital.
