The Port Vue (PA) fire chief allegedly showed up drunk at fire scene, police say.
KDKA (http://cbsloc.al/18hHFDn) reports that Port Vue Fire Chief Cash Cortazzo was ordered to stand summary trial on charges of public drunkenness stemming from his alleged actions during a September 17 near the fire hall.
Police say the 24-year-old was stumbling and incoherent at the scene of the house fire, and an officer ordered him to leave. Police obtained 911 audio recording of Cortazzo interacting with dispatchers in which he allegedly is slurred and disoriented.
In addition to police and fire investigations, Cortazzo could lose his job.
Port Vue is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, about a half hour southeast of Pittsburgh.
