Firefighters Extinguish Commercial Building Fire in Savage (MD)

Shortly before midnight on Friday, Howard County Department of Fire & Rescue Services (HCDFRS) units from the Savage Fire Station were dispatched to the 9000 block of Maier Road in Savage to investigate an automatic fire alarm sounding.  The single story industrial warehouse building includes several businesses.    First arriving units found smoke coming from the building and requested a full first alarm assignment.  Crews began an aggressive interior fire attack, and located the fire in storage racks containing flooring material.
