St. Louis (MO) Firefighter and Two Others Hurt in Overnight Fires

One firefighter, and two people who were staying in a vacant building, were injured in separate overnight fires in St. Louis, reports CBS St. Louis. Fire Department Captain Gregg Favre tells KMOX the firefighter was hurt while battling what was a raging fire in a home at East Carter and Fair, “It was a minor injury, a burn, that happened during a firefighting operation.” Favre says the firefighter was treated on the scene and returned to work. The fire apparently started in the basement at about 5:30 am. Flames engulfed the basement and both floors of the two-story home.
