The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region 7 is engaged in an initiative to improve access to information on grants management for the Assistance to Firefighter Grants (AFG) program. In order to facilitate better opportunities for potential applicants and recipients to receive general program information, FEMA Region 7 will be providing a series of monthly webinar based forums during 2014. These will be approximately one hour in length and the first one will be held onFebruary 19, 2014. The schedule for the first six forums, the topics for each, and instructions for accessing the webinar are explained in this email.
Please reference the scheduled topics below that will be discussed over the next six months. For your convenience, sessions will share the same Adobe Connect webinar link and the same call in phone number for audio transmission. You should receive a monthly reminder email highlighting the topic of the month. We suggest you save this link to your favorites and add the sessions to your calendar. The webinar link will maintain a library of featured topics, supportive resources, and Q&A's from previously completed exchange forums.
TOPIC LIST with DATES
SAM.gov: Federal law now requires that applicants to Federal grant programs have a valid registration within SAM.gov at the time of registration. Applicants will be asked to affirm that they have a current registration prior to submitting their application. A valid SAM.govregistration is now also required for any payment or amendment request to an existing, open award.
