Firefighting News: Firefighters Assisting with Rescue Efforts in Mississippi

A number of local firefighters with specialized training in search and rescue left the coast Monday evening to assist with rescue efforts in tornado-stricken Louisville (MS), reports GulfLive.com (http://bit.ly/1hPdWGO). Gautier Fire Chief Robert Jones said two of his firefighters -- Capt. Vance Cochran and Firefighter Josh Latch -- left Monday evening as part of Task Force 3, along with five firefighters from Pascagoula, two from Ocean Springs, six from Biloxi and others from across the coastal counties -- more than 50 total.
