Fire Apparatus: Firefighter Killed in Louisiana Fire Truck Crash

A Louisiana firefighter was killed in a fire truck crash Monday night. A report said he was not wearing a seat belt. KTBS reported that (http://bit.ly/1qOcMyn) a 1999 Freightliner fire apparatus, registered to Bienville Fire District 7, entered a curve and drifted off the roadway. The driver, Captain Robert B. Thomas, 52, overcorrected, crossed the center line and crashed into a ditch. The rig overturned, ejecting the driver and pinning him under the vehicle. Thomas was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Bienville Parish Coroner's Office. The crash is under investigation. Read more at http://bit.ly/1qOcMyn.
