Fire service acts to preserve FY2003 FIRE Act fundingAt a meeting with the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Terrorism Committee at the White House in February, Tom Ridge, director of the U.S. Office of Homeland Security, announced that he and his office are preparing a national strategy for terrorism prevention and response, which is expected to include mutual aid as a significant strategic component.
