Assessing Character in Fire Academy Recruits

By Shawn PerryAt the beginning of each fire academy, the chiefs would always visit with the academy staff and offer words of support and wisdom. A common thread in all of their advice was, "You can teach almost anyone how to throw ladders and pull hose, but don't bring us attitude problems."
