NIST releases report on W. Warwick, RI, nightclub fireThe Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in March released for public comment a draft of its report of its investigation of the Feb. 20, 2003, fire at The Station nightclub in West Warwick, Rhode Island. Three factors directly contributed to the rapid fire spread that led to the loss of 100 lives, according to NIST.
