I am so glad I retired! No, really! Don’t get me wrong. I miss “most” of the members of my department. I miss the work and the feeling I would get walking back to my car after going to a fire or other emergency, knowing that “we” helped and made a difference in someone’s life.But, I don’t miss the politics, and I sure don’t miss the silliness.
