APPARATUS DELIVERIES

TheRutherford County Emergency Management Agencyin Murfreesboro, Tennessee, uses this MARION BODY rescue truck primarily for CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear) response, explains Assistant Director Joe Reed. It is also used for technical rescue, hazmat, USAR, and fireground support, if needed. The agency covers Homeland District 6, which is 3,000 square miles.

The St. Cloud (FL) Fire Rescue Department has added two SUTPHEN pumpers and two MEDTEC ambulances to serve a growing community. Lieutenant/Medic James Grenus says that one of each was placed at a new station. The pumpers respond to fire, hazmat, and EMS calls and provide mutual aid to rural areas outside city limits. The ambulances were designed to transport two patients and still have extra work room.
