Drill of the Week: Personnel Accountability Reports

A Personnel Accountability Report (PAR) is part of an incident safety plan as well as an emergency procedure used when significant events occur at an incident. Certain intervals must exist within operational procedures as well as operational benchmarks to indicate when a PAR should be conducted.
Officers should also conduct routine informal PARs of their companies throughout the incident by checking on the status of the company when operating in Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health atmospheres. Review local procedures for conducting PARs at emergency incidents.
