Drill of the Week: Aerial Stream with Single Engine Reverse Lead-out

Middle

by Forest Reeder

This week's drill requires both an engine and a aerial ladder to complete. The aerial will be supplied by a 300' reverse lead-out to a hydrant by the engine. If your department does not have an aerial ladder, consider bringing in your mutual aid truck for this drill. This is a true multi-company drill and may be utilized as one of your ISO required multi-company drills. The nstructor should set the criteria for aerial ladder set-up requirements for height, elevation and extension prior to water flow.

Standardize this criteria for all companies who will complete this drill.
