Drill of the Week: Truck Co. Operations - Knots

Middle

By Forest Reeder

NFPA 1410 Truck Company evolutions continue with a knot tying practical. Firefighters should tie a series of fire service knots and apply them to fireground applications such as hoisting and tying off objects.

Departments may want to consider developing a time standard that also measures the accuracy and correctness of the knot when implementing these standards in the department.
