Paul T. Dansbach is the Fire Marshal in the Bureau of Fire Safety in the Borough of Rutherford, N.J. Paul has worked in code enforcement for the past 32 years, the past 25 as Fire Marshal, he is also a Fire Instructor at the Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute, Fire Academy, Bergen County, N.J. He has been a member of the Rutherford Fire Department for 33 years and is a past Chief of the Department, having served 10 years as a Chief Officer. Paul also teaches C.E.U. classses for Fire Inspectors, Fire Subcode & Building Subcode Officials for Kean and Rutgers University. He has been a H.O.T. and classroom instructor at the Fire Department Instructors Conference, is an editorial advisor for Fire Engineering Magazine and an advisory board member of FDIC. He is the co-author of the Study Guide for Fireground Size-up, authored the Building Construction Chapter in Fire Engineering’s Firefighter I and II Handbook. Paul is also a member of the N.J. Fire Safety Commission’s Code Advisory Council and is a Past President of the Bergen County (NJ) Fire Chief’s Association.
