So I'm really glad to have me when we talk a little bit about his keynote. Great we'll watch but the topic effect. -- you know it. I honestly I went back and and started thinking about some of the things that I heard that you actually. You know it's it's always about change and it's always about -- -- car service to the next level. And I just looked at status quo I think that's how we always feel in the -- were always striving for more. But I'm going beyond status -- tickets to the next little I would introduce confident in his pocket change so -- was great. -- But what is the status quo. We'll pat you define that a little bit what you define a little bit here. I think most of us look at you know you wake up every Saturday go to work and that's the status quo. We -- we go to work with a smile on her face but at the same time what's important is his. To have some sort of inspiration -- that passing come back and not be able to seeing what this is a great day above and beyond just want to work. I think that's the important -- part of the IS emphasize is a membership organization. It represents the instructors it is the only international organization represented instructors every entity every position within our service. Has representation. In a membership organization. With the exception of instructors and that's what the -- -- the time is served they're role for so long. In different venues they serve that role there the voice of instructors for the fire service. It is such a vital organization there was -- time there was no question about it where you know basically go into. Pharmacia and basically -- That's not right from the American cars are just not right instructors -- -- to -- so. We are moving forward. As I've shared with you the other day very simply -- financially stable for the first time. Since you know our departure from yes you were stable all of our issues of the -- in the past -- -- -- -- that we are now searching for an executive director which I think. Absolutely is a critical component to allow us to take that Maxwell also a proud moment for -- and when I'm looking forward. One of the agreements -- and I -- is that FDIC is now a permanent home of the instructors. And so as you -- you -- plan on -- our annual meeting membership meeting here which going to be tomorrow actually Thursday 230. And room to attuned to a three. Our special award presentations -- -- be made at that time which is also that about the award. We're recognizing. The times you counted -- Montgomery County. As -- we're seeing those instructor of the year award for his work with the the fire -- -- or near miss program just. Absolutely represents what the instructors around in the safety and survival. In regards to the membership obviously we'll be accepting new members that are 75 dollars and everybody asked that question in -- It's appropriate what's what's the benefits. Well it very very seriously enough fraud the benefits -- what you put into it. There's so many people wanna join an organization hang their hat on and saying you know -- belong to an organization. Benefits come with contributions. And all I'm asking this is people not expect the world but when you contribute we can make some huge changes in the. It's like the old adage dad told you already work the looking again never believed -- this is true -- coming home from work -- my first jobs is a kid. And as dog -- set them -- My three in the paper looks -- -- And his so tired. These shuffles the paper was good that's what they pay you for. I don't know what you put an honest days work we've put and effort you get returns and and these -- society. When you think about -- some other time. But I kind of the same. It's -- -- a solution it's not you know rules we have great rules -- it gives you we have good. -- -- have good policies is the enforcement and the way to enforce it is the supervision. -- and it comes with quality training. And were repetitive daily. Focused meaningful relevant training and and that's the solution that's and that's what. A group like instructors. Can help the young firefighters out there -- instructors. -- more -- more tools and -- it meet with guys like yourself. Who are custom options and you had you have that crowd -- -- really -- -- days they were spot on -- on their -- You know standing you know you just couldn't have done a better job -- -- so happy for you I'm so happy for you of these -- society and really for the -- Because FDIC for -- started to you know. Just a little bit to an -- why we bring in new faces -- young faces because that's -- FDIC's. FDIC -- we come here. And and -- helps us for the selection process for the classes I was part of our. Bridge building. Agreements that we we worked out last year we or 590. A lot of people want to teach. Now we can only accommodate about a 150 to a 180 of those people and so that's a tough process but we still encourage all of you out there. Protocol for presentation we'd love to have you come here to teach. If you get rejected this year doesn't mean you're out just reason there was such a body maybe -- -- topic you're you're presenting. Or -- for whatever reason doesn't mean your presentation was a good it was a respectful. So we're asking people please step up we -- to -- more you presentations comment. This is our conference this is not. Run by corporate -- is on the board that helps select. As are many other firefighters on advisory board so this is our show and these are our instructors. And this is what FDIC is about it's about community. Spat between the fire service and and we just couldn't be happier to have anything you'd like to throw out.
