JERSEY CITY, N. J. Tha Fire Commissioners held their regular meeting on Tuesday last. Prest. Krugler was again absent, this time being called away to attend a funeral at Philadelphia. Commissioner Parsons was called to the chair, and, after the adoption of the minutes of the previous meeting, several applications were received for the alteration of buildings and the sale of kerosene oil. Patrick Mehan tendered his resignation as tender driver of Engine 6, which was accepted. Commissioner O’Donnell moved the approval of the pay-roll for the month of November for $9,540.74, which was adopted. After which, Chief Engineer Coyle reported only two trifling alarms for the past week, The death of Charles Murphy, of Engine 8, was reported, and Robert Irving appointed a member of Hook and Ladder No. I, after which they adjourned.
