Correspondence. ALBANY. N. Y. ALBANY, DEC. 13, 1877. Editors National Firemans Journal: One alarm and two verbal alarms since my last. The members of Steamer Co. No. 3 are making arrangements for a ball next month. The Commissioners have purchased two portable fire extinguishers for Steamer Co. No. 4. The charges preferred against the members of Steamer No. 5 were not examined last week by the Commissioners. The members of Steamer No. 6 have just placed in the parlors of their house a very beautiful piano, which costs $800. It was purchased from Mr. Mosher, of the Martin Hall music store, and is from the manufactory of J. & C. Fisher, of New York. The piano is in style an upright grand, is enclosed in a French walnut case, and proves to be a remarkably sweet-toned instrument. Some of the steamer boys spent several hours practicing upon it.
