Random Sparks. —A movement is on foot to have Norristown, Pa., provided with a system of electric fire alarms. —The Neally Respirators have been adopted by the Albany Fire Commissioners and will be placed on trial. —The Fire Department of Cedar Rapids. Iowa, comprises 1 Steamer and 5 Hose Companies. The manual force consists of Chief Eaton, 2 Assistants, and 163 men. —South Norwalk, Conn., with 4,500 inhabitants, expended $100,000 in 1875 for water works in the corporative capacity, and last year the income from the same was 7 per cent on the cost. —The Worcester, Mass., Firemen’s Relief Ass«ciation was organized in 1874. Its receipts have been $4,295, and its expenditures $2,583, leaving a balance in the treasury, January 1, of $1,712. —The Fulton, N. Y., Fire Department has nominated for re-election Chief N. H.
