Editor National Fireman’s Journal: The extensive prevalence of village fires and their destructiveness before subjection, is a most truthful illustration of the inefficient equipment of our smaller Fire Departments. These fires are clearly the result of insufficient fire protection, and their frequency and extent only bear truthful testimony to that false economy so characteristic of village people.
