OBITUARY. James Doughty, a member of Johnson Hose Company, of Bradford, Pa., and an honorary member of the Emerald Hose Company, of Hornellsville, N. Y., was killed in the former city April 19, by falling under the wheels of a train on which he was employed as brakeman. His body was mangled almost beyond recognition. He had lived in Bradford only a short time, being originally a citizen of Hornellsville, N. Y. He was a young man twenty-eight years of age, married, with four children. His remains were taken charge of and interred by the Fire Department. A benefit for his widow and orphans was given by a number of Bradford ladies and gentlemen.
