POLITICS IN FIRE DEPARTMENTS. Mr. Robert Kelly, who it will be remembered, was discharged from the Brooklyn Fire Department for giving information to Hon. Daniel Bradley, of an assessment made on the members of the Department to carry through political jobs at Albany and at the City H 11, but who was alter wards reinstated when Commissioners Williams, Ryan and Gallagher took office, has resigned his position as Foreman of Engine No. 7, and gives his reasons therefore in the following letter: QUARTERS OK ENGINE NO. 7,} BROOKLYN, Sept. 5, 1870.
