CITY & VICINITY NEW YORK FIRE DEPARTMENT. MEETING OK THE BOAKD OK EIRE COMMISSIONERS. The Board of Fire Commissioners met on Wednesday, President King in the chair. Private William H. Jones, of Hook and Ladder Company No. 14, was tried on a charge of disobedience of orders. He pleaded guilty, and his record generally being very good, he was ordered to be reprimanded in “General Orders.” Foreman Minthorne D. Tompkins, of Hook and Ladder Company No. 11, who was seriously injured last week at the fire at 648 East Twelfth street by having the roof of an extension of a building fall upon him, has so far recovered as to be able to appear at headquarters. Foreman James Hunter, of Engine Company No. 37, was tried on a charge of failing to satisfy a judgment obtained against him by Henry Welsh, of 137 Franklin street, for the sum of $114.…
