CITY & VICINITY NEW YORK FIRE DEPARTMENT. MEETING OP THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS. The Board of Fire Commissioners met Wednesday, President Van Cott in the chair. Dr. Ives, Chief Medical Officer of the Board, reported that he had on his list thirteen sick and disabled officers and men, but that none of the cases were of a sericus nature. The President submitted a statement showing that the balances standing to the credit of the Board, on account of the appropriations for salaries, were, $580,508, and for apparatus, supplies, etc., etc., $100 566. There was only one trial during the session, that of Private John J. Horan, of Hook and Ladder Company No. 10, who was charged with making false statements regarding inju ies received by him.
