A LIBRARY FOR THE ST. PAUL FIREMEN. The efforts of Chief Strong to establish a Firemen’s Library at St. Paul have been heartily seconded by Judge Nelson of the United States Court, who sent to the Chief two book cases and seventy volumes of miscellaneous works as an earnest of his interest in the matter. The following is Judge Nelson’s letter: R. O. Strong, Chief of Fire Department -Dear Sir: Your suggestion about a library for the Fire Department of St. Paul is timely. Please accept in its behalf bookcases and seventy volumes of miscellaneous works. Very respectfully, H. R. NELSON. To this Chief Strong made a suitable reply. It is the intention, as soon as the contributions to the library reach a sufficient number, to establish the library at the Fire Department headquarters.
