RANDOM SPARKS The monument to the dead Paris Firemen was lately inaugurated in Mont Parnasse Cemetery. Tom O’Neill, well-known to Firemen, was elected a Trustee of Kala mazoo, at last Monday’s election. Swampscott, Mass., has appropriated $5000 for the purchase of a Steam Fire Engine and Hose Carriage. Thomas R. Farrell, Driver of a Hose Carriage at Lowell, Mass., has been appointed Chief Engineer of the Fire Department of that city. Arthur Kelly, a Fireman belonging to Engine Company No. 24, Chicago, met with a serious fall last Monday attempting to board a train. He broke his right arm above the wrist and received some severe bruises about the face. The estimated expenses of the Springfield, Mass., Fire Department is $36,000, $2000 more than last year.
