MISCELLANY THE NEW BOSTON BUILDING LAW. The Boston Herald, in commenting on the new building law for that city, passed the following sensible remarks : The act relating to the inspection and construction of buildings in the city of Boston, which the legislature passed before its adjournment, deserves more attention than it received while under legislative consider ation. Those who have carefully read its different sections, and who are in a position to make a comparative estimate of its provisions, have asserted that not only is it superior to any building law now in force in the United States, but it may be contrasted favorably with most of the building laws in force in the old world.
