TOPICS OF THE DAY: ALL persons desiring to exhibit fire apparatus or supplies at the New Orleans Exposition should address W. E. Dodsworth, Commissioner Firemen’s Tournament, P. O. Box 851, New Orleans. Chief O’Connor is also giving his attention to the matter, and will, no doubt, answer any inquiries addressed to him. Our information is to the effect that the tournament promises to be a success in every respect. THE following letter, relative to THE FIREMAN’S JOURNAL Tournament Prize, explains itself: NEW ORLEANS, November 15, 1885. To The Fireman’s Journal Company ; Your favor of 4th inst., conveying your offer of a silver water service, consisting of pitcher, goblets, salver, etc., as a prize to the best drilled company at our national firemen’s tournament, to be held on March 4, 5 and 6, 1886, has been duly received.
