THE FIRE-BOAT SETH LOW AND HER EQUIPMENTS. At last Brooklyn has a fire-boat, and a mighty good one, too. The valuable property on the extended water front of Brooklyn has hitherto been unprotected, and the efforts of underwriters and citizens have led to the building of the “ Seth Low.” A preliminary test of the boat was made on Saturday, and on Tuesday a public test took place, while gentlemen identified with the tire service of Brooklyn and New York were on board. The Seth Low is described as follows : She is ninety-nine feet three inches long on deck, twenty-three feet beam, eight feet six inches deep and draws seven feet six inches.
